  • THE ASK

Fairmont Hotels and Resorts wanted to showcase their world-class team of concierges: people-pleasers who know their territory like the back of their hands. In this case, the territory was San Francisco and surrounding areas like Sonoma and Berkley. In the process, they wanted to highlight the amenities of their properties, and the history of the Fairmont brand.

  • THE FILM

This was that rare documentary-style film shoot that came complete with a main subject that seemed more like a fully-formed character from an award-winning screenwriter, and a backdrop that seemed to have been art directed by God. Fairmont San Francisco’s concierge Tom Wolfe (who also happened to be the first concierge in America) came with a theatrical backstory and a personality to match. Rather than traditional run and gun, we went full Wes Anderson and choreographed or scripted many scenes (which Wolfe was more than happy to comply with).
