Target was launching a new line of activewear called All In Motion. The notion behind the new line was simple: staying active is for everyone. Target challenged us to tell documentary stories about a diverse range of people who had unique connections to physical fitness. The ideal characters would embody the “fitness for every body— no exceptions” mindset.

Axis Dance Company is a world-class dance company comprised of dancers with and without physical disabilities. We spent two days with the company as they prepared for a tour. Our interviews with the dancers (many of whom acquired their physical disabilities in the middle of their dance careers) focused on overcoming the initial hopelessness and regaining the confidence of knowing that “if you have a body, you can dance.”
